I came across Utterly Hooked Design purely by accident surfing the net, and resurrected my hobby of making rugs which I hadn’t done for 25 years. So I’m up and pegging again as I call it, with my supplies from Clare’s hooked design.
It’s a fantastic little business, with Clare being so helpful with all the orders I’ve made so far. I’ve now got got two more rugs on the drawing board, so my obsession has a beginning but knows no end.

I recently bought the Christmas Advent Calendar kit from Clare, with all the extra bits which go with it.
The plan was that my wife Jane, who has been suffering from Alzheimer's for some time now, might find a new and absorbing pastime. Unfortunately Jane didn't have the necessary coordination and dexterity to manage very well, so I decided to have a go! What a revelation! The almost finished calendar is beautiful and I have discovered the best stress busting activity yet! I have found that latch hooking not only keeps me busy, but is also a great way to unwind and forget problems for a while. I'm so hooked, that I've now just received the much larger Spring Flowers carpet kit which will keep me happy for many, many hours!

Another lovely design that is unusual and fun to do. Always helpful to have a colour chart with a little of each coloured yarn attched so you can be sure of the correct colour, so that is very helpful. It is a wondrous activity to do - I am really enjoying it - well worth the money, the thoughtfulness to put info about self and little sweeties into packaging added a personal touch. I was anxious that there would not be enough orange, as I had messed some wool pieces up - but there was ample. I have just completed sunset area - this is only my second time at doing latch hooking - I did a trial run on a very small rug to get the hang of it - and gained confidence from that - when this one is done - some time away - I will definitely order another one to do.

Just to say that the rug kit arrived on Friday afternoon 4 January and it is absolutely lovely and your instructions were very helpful. I have started it and hope to finish it a bit sooner than the one I finished off last winter, which I started it 40 years ago (not joking) and was going to throw it away but my husband persuaded me to finish it. I enjoyed doing it so much that is why I decided to embark on a new project, and hope that it will not take as long, especially as I will be over 100 by then. So I may order again one day.

Half way through doing this rug even though i have had it a while.It is quite big and a challenge but the design is easy to follow.I have bought a large fold up picnic style table that i work on and i have my wool all arranged in craft boxes with separate compartments to make it easier.It stays ready to work in the corner of my lounge and feels like my own rug making factory.I hope to finish it my xmas so i can get another one.It is a very relaxing hobbie to have with nice results at the end. Tried other companies but Clare's is the best for quality.

It is a wondrous activity to do - I am really enjoying it - well worth the money, the thoughtfulness to put info about self and little sweeties into packaging added a personal touch. I was anxious that there would not be enough orange, as I had messed some wool pieces up - but there was ample. I have just completed sunset area - this is only my second time at doing latch hooking - I did a trial run on a very small rug to get the hang of it - and gained confidence from that - when this one is done - some time away - I will definitely order another one to do.

Just to say that the rug kit arrived on Friday afternoon 4 January and it is absolutely lovely and your instructions were very helpful. I have started it and hope to finish it a bit sooner than the one I finished off last winter, which I started it 40 years ago (not joking) and was going to throw it away but my husband persuaded me to finish it. I enjoyed doing it so much that is why I decided to embark on a new project, and hope that it will not take as long, especially as I will be over 100 by then. So I may order again one day.

Half way through doing this rug even though i have had it a while.It is quite big and a challenge but the design is easy to follow.I have bought a large fold up picnic style table that i work on and i have my wool all arranged in craft boxes with separate compartments to make it easier.It stays ready to work in the corner of my lounge and feels like my own rug making factory.I hope to finish it my xmas so i can get another one.It is a very relaxing hobbie to have with nice results at the end. Tried other companies but Clare's is the best for quality.

I have bought several kits and all of them are fantastic! The quality is great, the designs are easy to follow, the colours are gorgeous and they feel so luxurious. I still have some to finish and can’t wait to put them around my home. The seller is really helpful with any questions I have about the kits. Just received my "slice of orange" kit. Thanks for prompt delivery. Really looking forward to attempting it. Just discovered latch hooking and this is the first design I feel I could live with. I only have so many granddaughters I can provide cute cushions for! If I get through this one relatively easily (and I should seeing as you have done all the hard bits) I will probably be getting the full fruit set since hubby sees these as a much better choice than some of the ones in the conservatory!
