My design is inspired by an imaginative vision of what might have flourished in the tropical rain forests of Yorkshire approximately 3568.9 million years ago. During the Carboniferous period, much of Yorkshire was a lush, water-covered tropical landscape. These ancient rain forests played a vital role in forming the coal deposits the region is known for today. This vibrant, handcrafted rug is a playful nod to that rich natural history—and a delightful accent to brighten any space.
